Love Poetry Fridays
Last night I was at Brent and Jen’s rehearsal dinner and while they were practicing their vows I was inspired to write not only about the sheer awesomeness of weddings, but even my own wedding vows. In haiku format:
Rehearsal Dinner
Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today
On my parent’s dime
Bridesmaid
So its you and I
Oh you know me from my blog?
My love poetry?
Pastor
Love doing weddings
Recalls of my wedding night
Did I just say that?
Wedding Vow 1
Please learn to love me
I don’t have much to offer
Except dependence
Wedding Vow 2
My mother likes you
You will get to know her well
Living at her house
Wedding Vow 3
Will love forever
No one else as beautiful*
Never want to leave
*Christine, is “beautiful” 3 or 4 syllables? I couldn’t decided.

I’d say 3, but it’s arguable.

Ah, I was so hoping to have the distinction of being blogged about, but alas, I will have to haiku (assuming that can be used as a verb) about my first Ochuk experience:
Standing up for Jen
Never met before today
You made fun of me
Awkward shaking hands
Accepting your apolo-
“Gee, I’m bad with chicks…”
Thanks for being a sport, Adam.

Oooh! Good stuff, Heidi.
Myles, it really is the best. So minimal yet you can say a lot.
